RECONCILIATION is life’s end point if God has anything to do with it. That all transactions would have their logical conclusion in it, and all truth would be requited fairly and justly; that above all, love would abound, one for another.

Storyteller, pastor and evangelist Gene Edwards’ A Tale of Three Kings: A Study in Brokenness is a little book. But anyone dismissing a book of its wisdom for its size would miss its anointed, secreted gospel message.

The church didn’t really prepare me for all this. It promised that if I prayed and trusted my friend Jesus, I’d sail through my “trials,” growing stronger as the wind blew against me, and able to bound up mountains like a robo-billy goat. As I said, reality has been a little different, because the “storms” turned into typhoons, and the “mountains” turned into fire-spewing volcanoes! But church did teach me one thing that stuck with me, and I think they got at least this right: God is in control.

By what measure do people summarise the events of the world today? With millions displaced, wars breaking out, homes bombed, terrorists striking victims at will, and the climate in free fall, to say nothing of the impending worldwide spread of disease should we be reading more into it? With memory of my reincarnation and a link to the Spirit, as millions have also, it is my opinion that the majority grossly misunderstand God’s will and are provoking the devastation they now endure.

God’s hope transcends all of life’s disappointments, but not straight away. We learn nothing if our struggles are whisked away as with a magic wand. Learning is part of God’s telos. His purpose is that we develop. Not simply until we stop growing physically, but through the entire lifespan, our characters becoming as beacons for and of Jesus.

The Hindu temple is an institution of immemorial antiquity which has played a notable part not merely in the religious life of the people, but also in their social, cultural and economic history. In the millennia that span India’s past, it has had, like so many other things in our life, a chequered history, now prosperous, now persecuted, now neglected and now revived. The temple, of course, is not unique to India.

We are faced with choices and decisions every day. Often, we wonder whether the choices and decisions we have made are the right ones.

Over these past years I’ve developed a strong liking to Archangel Michael and now I reach out to him on a daily basis for protection, inspiration, and more. He’s literally become my Spiritual BFF and favorite Angel to work with!

Death is a great teacher, teaching us to live fully in each moment, because we never know when our transition may come. Death gives meaning; when we act with courage and confront the reality of death, we enhance our motivation to live with a greater awareness and clarity of purpose. Finally, death gently persuades us to act immediately, rather than putting things off for another day. Death is inevitable and will visit you when it is your time; your task is to live to the best of your ability, in the here and now, and when death does arrive, you will be prepared to take the next step in the eternal journey of the soul.

Sometimes, even though I think I have a deeper understanding, I wonder what is behind the veil beyond in the purest sense. I was thinking about the work of Harold Sherman, Brian Weiss, Dick Sutphen and others, and I realized that Shakespeare quote that “there are more things in heaven and on earth than dreamed of by mortal man” is the honest reality and that “this is it” is dishonest.

More than twenty-five years ago, we didn’t take demons and evil spirits seriously and were skeptical of the idea of dark and demonic energy. Today, having pierced the veil that separates the mundane world and the higher and lower planes long ago, we deal with entities of various levels, from higher-level guides to demons, on a regular basis.

Oh, this is an incredibly hard word for so many of us, most, if not all of us. We all aspire to rise to another level of effectiveness in this life. None of us are quite where we aspire to be – whether that be a career, vocation, family, or personal goal.
