How to find courage and confidence in troubling times. Life is unpredictable no matter how much it is planned for. Sometimes events happen in an instance that change every plan imagined. Sickness, disease, job loss, natural disasters, death all can throw life into a tailspin. The first reaction is probably disbelief and anger. Then it changes to fear. Keep fear out and build on belief.

The psalms are cherished by God’s people for both their heartfelt expressions of praise to God as well as their raw outpouring of emotion in the face of stressful and even life-threatening situations. Psalm 5 provides a gripping example of the latter.

Religions have a lot to lose if reincarnation is believed by their congregations. Leaders depend on the vulnerable accepting heaven and hell as their eternal destinations and who are easily tricked into accepting the false gods of their creation. It’s why make-believe runs the world through the simple claim of ‘faith’.
