Many years ago I was told that philosophy was not so much finding the right answers, but rather asking the key questions. And that wisdom was learning to love those questions.

Is there a single word in the English vocabulary that is so greatly misused, redefined and confused than the word love? We use the same word to describe our feelings towards our daughter, our dog, and a donut.

God does not do things by half. And there is nothing unintentional about God’s activity, by his Spirit, over the earth. When God moves he brings the fullness of his divine intent and plan to being. We would be fools to ignore or trivialise this.

When reading about Revival and Spirituality and Inspiration, there can appear before one, sentences that challenge and make one think. We have to rely more and more upon our gracious God, and at times that is not easy. There is a responsibility, that is God’s and God’s alone, and that is releasing and liberating to a certain degree. Perhaps I need to give myself more to prayer. But, and it is a massive but, I desire to remain faithful to the Christ who has called me right to the very end and to keep serving as faithfully as I possible can until it is all over down here for me.

Jonah was called of God to go to Nineveh and preach. It was a large wild violent city and there is a similar wild violent behaviour going on in that same area of Iraq today. God sends a man like Jonah with His Word to this situation. Go to Nineveh. It is a most difficult place, but it is better to go with God, than go on a Mediterranean cruise, running away from God and His people. Do we all have a Nineveh? It might be a place we do not want to go to – a hard place – a place which does not fit in with our plans? It might be circumstances, or people, we would prefer to avoid.

The definition of karma certainly has been warped in modern times. Many throw the word around, using it incorrectly, yet mock the concept of reincarnation. Work your way through the New Age best-seller list today and you’ll find dramatically different takes on the ancient and original definition of karma, and creative (yet misleading) advice like the following.

We wonder, “Why, God… why are you so impotent?”

This will be an interesting subject, I know it is an interesting title. So, I will start with this: God is not in a church, and God is not a he or a she, but God is in everything, every atom, molecule and particle of everything.
