WE CANNOT always predict the trials that are impending. Those difficulties that are inbound, we cannot always see; not until sometimes they are right there in front of us. Many times it’s not until we are blindsided that we determine the trouble we are in. This is certainly the case when life situations and circumstances tend their way virulently against us, causing mental dissonance, emotional flurry, and spiritual chaos. We need faith for the trials impending.

Let me warn you right now. This is going to be a VERY controversial message. OK.

Yes, I know, as I’m reminded by my wife, I’m part of it. Doesn’t mean I’m comfortable with it, though. The popularity gospel – the preaching of the Word ‘in competition’ with others over social media (for, there are so many people wanting a greater reach, and then there’s dilution of effectiveness with more voices, etc) – is something that the enemy has a field day with. I’ve had my own varying experiences of both trying to maximise my reach and decry the success or otherwise of others. I’m ashamed to say it.

So why are Yashua Anointed’s Commandments NOT grievous? Are you saying that all the other commandments ARE grievous? Yes I am, very grievous indeed and that’s because man’s sins are also very grievous in Yashua Anointed’s sight, hence He took ALL those sins with Him to the cross in order to deal with them once and for all. However that’s not to say that there aren’t a stubborn stiff-necked few who continually trample all over His redemptive sacrifice by invoking The Law and choosing to go back under it, even after it having been nailed to His cross. Amazing I know, but true.

Questions serve a necessary purpose in life. They get answers, but not always right away. Sometimes you have to wait for answers: the doctor’s office, if you will get a scholarship for college, the right job you will enjoy, to get the degree you want or need.

The advantage of wrangling with God within the context of our emotions is God grows us; our capacities to endure, like the well-watered tree alone in the desert, continue to encroach upon our potential. When we can truly feel – without succumbing to denial, anger, bargaining, or depression – we are beautifully positioned to enjoy God without limit. When we enjoy God, we glorify his holy name.

Who am I? Where did I come from? These are timeless questions that challenge us. The answer for me came in a simple experience which answered these enormous questions.

We must consider ourselves to have the fullness of the identity of a sinner, with – completely with – the fullness of one that Christ came to save. This is when we have allowed God to unite these two integrities of our Christ identity.

The victim and victimizer are the most predominate roles we reenact in all of our special relationships and events in the world. We vacillate between being the perpetrator (victimizer) and the recipient (victim) of behaviors. Most think these are two distinct roles, and therefore, two different sets of problems requiring various solutions. In A Course in Miracles (ACIM), they’re really one problem requiring one solution: Correct your mind of all ego judgments which is forgiveness. This solution is available to both the victim and victimizer equally when they’re not focused on what the other is doing in form.

Inspired spiritual practices can help draw us nearer to the divine, but dead rituals can actually hinder us. What makes a practice a dead ritual – or worse, an idol that stands between me and the divine – is when I ascribe a value to that practice that goes beyond what is right.
