There is no point whatsoever in spirituality if it is not that which is real, and only Jesus Christ, the Son of God can give a man and impart to a man that which is real and lasting and eternal. Why spend on that which is not bread? Why work hard and labour on that which does not satisfy with rewarding satisfaction? Thus cried Isaiah the prophet! Babylon is the opposite of the bride of Christ. There is this whore or prostitute which is so horrid and ugly and counterfeit and there is the Church of Jesus Christ which is the bride, and that theme is developed as the book goes on. The big question is – to which do you belong? Be very careful and avoid being flippant or superficial because your answer has eternal consequences.

Babylon was one of the Seven Wonders of the World with its famous hanging gardens, and with its tragic king, Nebuchadnezzar. Whatever has all this to do with the book of Revelation and the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the end of the world as we know it? When people used to read the book of Revelation they thought that what was written in these Chapters was so incredible, but not any longer. We have read of how a political and commercial and religious centre will emerge, and Babylon is the name given to this monstrosity. And in one short hour it will fall down. Investments and financial riches and bank books and so called securities, will be all over in one brief hour. In what are you investing? In what are you placing your future and your trust? These are important questions and issues!

We are warned about wickedness in high places, and there is mention of the kings and the rulers and the leaders of the nations, and how they have had immoral relationships with this woman. Do you like the challenge of what might be controversial in order that you might get at the real truth? All that Jesus and the angels had revealed, John had received and accepted. John did not reject anything Jesus had revealed. John received it all, and wrote it all down. This is how we should hear and welcome and receive God’s Word, and then perhaps Jesus will entrust us with more and more of His precious Word.

Life is simple. Every situation and interaction we have during our life on Planet Earth falls into one of three energy patterns. You are either involved in business, personal or social energy at any point in time.

But, having done our frequent and constant self-audits, we may lay claim that the LORD, himself, has sown them into our psyches.

What does it mean to worship god. This is a word or phase that I have struggled with to fully understand as a Christian.

We most certainly live in an upside-down world. The moment we understand that our happiness lies in giving it away, and we do this same thing as a matter of routine, is a moment we begin to truly live. We see here what God calls us to – to live in such a way as to recognise we are not here alone – there are people with needs all about. God is calling us to get involved in the work of his creation to the extension of blessing within the realm of relationships.

Numerology is an ancient practice and its followers would say it is an ancient science. It may be best described as a self help tool that gives you information about yourself and makes you self aware. Numerologists believe that although everything is the universe is not predetermined, nothing is random. Through the study of numbers, we can gain awareness of our potential positives and negatives.

In recent times we have heard the term ‘law of attraction’ popularized in the field of self-development, or simply in terms of how to get what you want out of life. Needless to say, attracting what we want in life begins with focusing on what it is that we want. This can influence our outcome and the quality of life that we create. So, if we accept that we exist beyond the duration of these temporary bodies, can the same law of attraction elevate us at the time of death?
