I just read an interesting story which started me thinking. The story is about going shopping in a mall. How when a person walks down the aisle in the mall it can be compared to the mainstream of life.

We all have to make a living somehow. Whatever it is we choose to do involves people at some level and, eventually, we have to face ourselves in the mirror and make tough changes within whether or not anyone else does.

Travel is part of the adventure. Traveling with 54 inexperienced travelers, 33 hours to get to a destination, magnifies the adventure. Then arriving in Cairo an hour late which allowed us less than an hour to claim and re-check 54 pieces of luggage in Cairo, navigate security, get boarding passes then finally board the plane. Be dependent on God, He will get us through!

For some reason, we have been programmed to believe that we have to earn God’s love rather than simply accept the fact that He wants to give it to us. We do not need to be perfect before He will smile upon us.

We’ve all heard that Love is God, which is true, but it’s so general that makes it hard to understand sometimes. Since there are so many different types of love or interpretations of it, let’s shed some light on the subject in order to have a better understanding of why Love is God.

Is a Christian simply someone who believes there is a God? What is a Christian? Is a Christian simply someone who was born in a Christian Nation?

Winning in life involves God and maintaining your victory is still a product of His help. Therefore, never get to a level in life where you feel that you have arrived and longer need His help. “

It is amazing to think that neither Adam nor Eve had a childhood. In this they were unique, being created by God and unlike their posterity who were all, without exception, born into the world. Adam and Eve came into this world by creation; every other human being has come into the world by generation.

How often as children we were thrilled to think of the unflinching courage of Daniel in the lions’ den as he was lowered in. It seemed that death was inevitable and in moments he would be torn limb from limb by those ferocious beasts. He should never have been there and the king who authorised the casting of Daniel into the lions’ den, himself could not sleep that night; his conscience was troubled as he knew that faithful Daniel should never have been so treated.

What was God thinking when he created us? God, who is able to see past, present and future at the same time, must have had a plan. Oh yes, God had a plan.

We don’t choose our neighbours, nor our bosses and work-mates, not even our relatives. Sometimes these people are uncomfortable to live with, difficult to talk to, or they oppose our hopes and aspirations. How do you deal with the unwelcome challenge of having to respond to what others want that conflicts with your own interests? How does one balance meeting one’s own needs whilst responding helpfully to those of others?
