The first mission’s trip we made was to Nicaragua. Nicaragua is the second poorest nation in the Western Hemisphere. The poverty is compelling, however watching God’s Power in this environment was beyond any expectation that any of us had for the trip.

Taking the first steps in ministry is always a challenge for leaders. Questions about what to do, how to get started; it may be self confidence or the result of inexperience. What ever it is, get over it and move on.

For the past few weeks, the Men in Ministry at our church have been conducting a Bible Study on evangelism. We are using, Making Your Life Count; Living on Purpose Evangelism for the study guide and the book Face to Face with God, by Jim Maxim for its testimony and examples.

Nowadays baptism is a public demonstration that we acknowledge we belong to God and are committing to live re-born lives. By Divine re-birth, having asked God to put to death the old life, which was free to the sinful nature – having buried that old life – we come to consummate and accelerate our friendship and partnership with God.
