Within each of us is an inner orchestra and it is led by Soul, the invisible conductor of our life. We have trouble hearing this music in our modern world because we are engulfed in the clang and rush of external pressures. We often wonder why we keep mindlessly doing all the things which distract us from the call of purpose, but even this small, questioning voice is drowned out as we race to work, hack away at piles of obligation and drop exhausted into bed at night. So how do we re-discover the magic in life?

There is an ancient Hindu legend about an incident in which the gods decided to hide fallen humankind’s divinity. They wanted to hide it somewhere that it could never be found, so they met together and discussed the various places that it might be hidden.

There are, indeed, many forms of prayer, and presuming an object of prayer, perhaps many gods. It is critical that we remain close to the glory of God. The glory is God’s splendor, honor, and power. Where the manifestation of God’s glory is, miracles have taken place; lives have been resurrected; people have been healed, delivered, and set free. The glory is the aftermath. In order to see God’s glory manifested in our lives, there are some prerequisites. We must submit to the will of God. We must pursue God despite our afflictions. We must stay away from self glory. Holistic healing has gained prevalence in today’s culture and society. Once frowned upon, more people are turning to alternative therapies in place of modern western medical practices. After making my previous post on the  subject of 2012, I have begun to do a bit more research into the Mayan calendar and there is no question about it, there seems to be quite a bit of hogwash floating around right now about 2012. For example, I watched a video that looked very convincing.

It imagines that we saw God mysteriously vacant when, in fact, one distinct set of footprints, as we looked back, was more clearly evidence of times when God carried us through the mire of tremulous change; our dark night of the soul.
