A Pendulum in its most basic construction is made by suspending any object that is not too large and has a little weight to it on the end of a piece of string or chain so that it can swing or move easily. It is used as a divination tool to predict an outcome, or to provide simple insight into an event or a topic of concern. It is often used to provide clarity and assist in decision making and to get to the truth of a matter.

As we begin our approach into the year 2012, we are faced with many speculations as to what will take place. Depending on the group or particular school of thought that you are in, it could be a massive awakening or a massive annihilation. Some even ascribe to a combination of the two. What we can all agree on is that it will be a year of change, whether that change is natural or self-induced, change is imminent. If we cooperate with change, we experience renewal; if we fight it, we experience turmoil. The fear of change is the absolute strongest fear. When you consider the fear of death, or the fear of losing anything, be it a loved one or money, it all goes back to being afraid of something changing….

What are you doing right now? Is your life lining up with your purpose/destiny? What is it called when we want change, but continue to repeat the same things expecting different results (INSANITY).

There are many theories to what will happen in 2012. Therefore, as a logical, rational being – with an intuitive twist – I put forward a line of questioning in the vain hope that I may find, and ultimately share, some answers. The word from many spiritual figures, such as Diana Cooper, is we are entering a new age of spiritual awareness, and ascension to a higher spiritual level. Many believe there will be an energy force coming from above, to “turn on” our spiritual selves.

Dear Friends! Yesterday I thought a lot about forgiving and Agape. Forgiving each other is so important, as we are also forgiven for what we do to others. Since we are also forgiven for our own mistakes, we should hardly be judging others. Just think about this: Bartok’s opera Bluebird’s Castle, the story of which is based on a French fairy tale Bluebeard, talks about a hidden and forbidden room in the castle where no one is allowed to enter. In this room Bluebird has all the shadows of his soul: his lies, his cheats, his manipulations, his fears, all the darkness and the secrets of a human soul, that he does not want anyone to see, especially not his new wife, Judy.

Dear Friends! Yesterday’s cards promised a day filled with calmness, clarity and generosity of the heart. I am happy to tell you that nothing upset these feelings yesterday, although nothing special happened either. I spent the day at home in perfect harmony with the world and with myself, and there were no intrusions that would have jolted me out of the peace I was feeling inside. On days like this I feel in harmony with God’s Will; I feel I walk calmly on the path He assigned for me, and I know that all the things that are happening to me are there because He allowed them to be part of my life, so that He can carry our His perfect plan for me. Events in my life, both good and painful, are the building blocks of my life, through which the perfect divine plan will unfold.

Dear Friends! I spent the entire day yesterday researching St. Therese. The more I know about her, the more I am touched by her simple way of expressing her faith. I am really drawn to her belief in the simple and the uncomplicated, especially in this era when we love to over-analyze and over-express and just overdo many things that could be done a lot more simply. The power of her faith lies in her little ways, a simple way of talking to God and showing Him her devotion.

Today too, I am asking the cards what message they have for me today. Having shuffled my Saints and Angels deck, I drew the Forgiveness, the Reward and the Learning Experience cards. The combination is telling me that today I will need to embrace more the idea of forgiving both to others and to myself. Forgiveness is essential in my life, as until I forgive, my heart will stay divided between the peace I really want and my ego that cannot let go of the hurt and wishes hurt on others to validate its own pain. Agape is the word for absolute love, divine love, love that never questions, only accepts, only assumes the best about others, and is forgiving and patient.

Dear Friends! Today, I would like to tell you the meaning of the rose I got from St. Therese on October 1st. It was an important event in my life that I also posted about on October 2nd. Having received my rose on the fifth day of my novena, I became very curious: what does it mean when a saint we have asked to intercede for us sends us a very specific sign, the sign that we requested of them? I was really consumed by finding the answer, and I launched into an extensive research on the Internet as well as in books. What I have found only confused me further. Some say that receiving the rose means that our prayer has been heard. Some way that it means that our prayer will be answered. But no one says that receiving the rose means that our wish will be granted.

Dear Friends! This past few days were the most touching and the happiest in my life! So many things I have to tell you, but if I were to tell you everything in one posting, the article would be too long. Let us just say for now, that during this October novena to St. Therese, I received not only a single rose, but a “shower” of roses. The roses we receive tell us that she is praying hard for us and that God is understanding, merciful and benevolent towards our wish.

Cursing someone who has hurt us may not seem very good, but God understands it is part of the normal human process of adjustment. What this psalm commends is keeping such destructive emotion below the level of action – a commitment to waiting on the LORD.

For each of us, eating right for our body can not only help us to feel great, it can also help to keep us in the right energetic space for living a meditative and mindful life. And even though this won’t directly result in spiritual awakening, we are told that making our body a temple can potentially make the quantum shift more likely to happen.
