Come Alive with Soil – Juhi with Sadhguru

Stealing Beauty!

I can hear a dog barking in the distance, and the birds singing as the dew starts to drip into the ground. A rooster will sing again in a few minutes, announcing the coming of a new day, the occasional car will sip by in the nearby road. And as I sit on my bed hearing the musical sounds of nature walking its course, I cannot help remembering that I serve the one who created all things, all of these sounds, all of this beauty, all of this life.

Learning How to Let Go of Your Life

This title might sound suicidal, but this is not my intention. When you look at your life as the consciousness that keeps you alive and allows you to be more active, letting go of your life is freeing your consciousness. You are freeing it from your thoughts and conditioning. This allows you to be conscious of powerful inner resources and develop a deep spiritual connection. This goes against the way most people live their life.

The Heritage of Faithfulness

The genealogy of David, the king over God’s chosen people, Israel, involves the ancestry of this Moabite woman – clearly under normal circumstances, a heathen. Yet, she enters the lineage of Christ. The heritage is not, then, about a bloodline of obedience – more, in this case and so many more, it is faithfulness.

The Corinthian ‘In The Faith’ Test

Millions of people around the world will profess faith in Christ – marking “Christian” on important identification papers – or for that matter “Muslim” et cetera – but don’t follow that profession at all apart from ‘agreeing’ with its values, yet not aligning with them. We can very well respect the ardent Muslim for the commitment they may have to their beliefs – for instance, adhering to their holy month of Ramadan. We would call them a real believer in Islam. So what makes a real believer in Jesus Christ?

Hanuman Chalisa – A Path to Spirituality

Hanuman Chalisa is a prayer sung to pay homage to Lord Hanuman. It is available in many different translations across the world.

What Is BaZi?

The Chinese have always been fascinated by the metaphysical subject of Destiny. It is this profound curiosity about man’s path in life, the journey of a person, and the question of who we are, why are we here, and what are we supposed to do during our time on this planet, during our brief existence, that led the Chinese to study and seek methods for analyzing a person’s Destiny. These later evolved to become two systems of Chinese Astrology, known as BaZi (Eight Characters, also known as Four Pillars) and Zi Wei Dou Shu (Purple Star Astrology) What fascinated…

How To Make Faith-Based Rather Than Fear-Based Decisions

A useful tool for purposeful living is identifying the emotional motivation for your decisions. It helps to ask: “Is this decision fear-based or faith-based?” Many of our decisions can be rooted in fear on some level. We can fear not having enough income, or we can fear losing approval from others. We can fear the anger of someone, or we can fear the unknown. We can fear change, and we can fear letting go. Continually making decisions from fear rather than from faith diminishes not only one’s testimony but also one’s quality of life.

Inner Voice

Often referred to as the inner voice of reason, our conscience acts as our inner compass, providing us with our own personal navigation system. It can be our greatest friend if we only stop to listen: we ignore it at our peril. Much of the time we bury it, muffle it or give it less importance in our life.

Fasting in Ramadan – Twenty Nine Days or More

It’s just 9:00 am and you are already feeling hungry. Actually, you feel a lot hungrier than you normally do at this time of the day. There is no breakfast or lunch on the horizon and it’s not because your paycheque ran out. It’s the first day of Ramadan and you’ve welcomed it with dread.

The Positive “No”: How To Purposefully Say “No” To Powerfully Say “Yes”

As we commit to living purposefully, we discover an appreciation for the proper uses of “yes” and “no.” Simple as these words may seem, both carry a lot of weight… Often we perceive the word “no” to bear a negative connotation, and understandably so. After all, the word “no” is defined as a negative or an opposite. That being said, we need to look not at the word but at the context in which the word is used. In doing so we can determine if “no” is used positively or negatively. Our focus, however, should be not on that to which we say “no” but rather on that to which we say “yes.” This principle takes practice; but the more we master the art of saying “no” purposefully, the more we say “yes” to moving forward, “yes” to focus, “yes” to momentum, “yes” to harmony and “yes” to serving God.

Camping for Life

Should we live 70, 80 or even 90 years, our lives are but a short duration on earth. It’s as if we are on a camping trip, heading toward a more permanent destination. That destination is heaven.
