Over this past Memorial Day Weekend, I had the long awaited opportunity to visit Gettysburg, PA and tour this immense and historic Civil War Battlefield. This is one of our National Parks with many tour guides, roads for cars, bicycles and trails for hiking; it is immaculately kept, with stone walls, horse barriers, hundreds of monuments and dozens of cannons. As much as possible, trying to authentically replicate the actual battlefield.

If we see a poor, destitute person and just tell them, “Depart in peace and be warmed and fed,” but do nothing to ease their hunger…in what way are we helping? We have to make our faith in God real and visible to them. We need to put our faith to the test and see if we really believe what we say we believe. If I give my food to a hungry person can God replace it with what I need to survive? Yes, He can!

Fear is such a generalised word. We can only imagine the people of the Exodus; exposed to Pharaoh and his Egyptian marauders, impinged by a firestorm tempest within their minds, vulnerable to the imminence of death. Faith proves itself only in the moment of brave trust; to go on past the fainting; to view the evidence of God’s faithfulness in plain sight.

As a child of God you have many innumerable promises as articulated and recorded clearly in the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. You may even be holding on to a prophetic word delivered to you by a man or woman of God. There are many who quote scripture and declare and decree that their break through is on the way to no avail. Does this mean that these people never heard from God in the first place or it’s a clear manifestation that something is wrong somewhere, I believe with conviction that God does not make mistakes and there is no word that he spoke that falls to the ground? It is my assignment in this article to focus on those that are recipients of a prophetic word from God who are battling with the issue of why they haven’t received that which has been promised. There are many reasons why you have not received anything up till now. For the same reasons you may never enjoy the promise if you don’t deal with the sticking points.

Many people over the course of a life time let life’s challenges and disappointments destroy their dreams. This is something that should not be allowed to happen. Suddenly we wake up one morning and wonder where our life went and what happened to all the dreams we once had. How do we rekindle the flame?

In the past, I used to envy those who always seemed to enjoy life no matter what was going on around them. I thought you had to have a special personality to always be happy. I never knew my mind played a major role in my attitude and emotions. I didn’t know I could change my thoughts to change my perspective on life’s circumstances.

Tranquility is for me a sense of inner peace when all things are in balance one with the other. Be willing to float in total surrender experiencing peaceful tranquility. Be willing to simply allow Divine Source Energy to flow around you, though you and within you.
