A few hours before I started this article, I was in a very sad mood. I took a walk in the park, communed with nature, existence and the universe, and even used the park restroom. While I was in the restroom, I read an old Harold Sherman book called “Your Key To Happiness.” After my walk, I got into a happier mood quick, although I know there is still action to be taken. The action is what this article is about.

What goes on inside that inner part of you that, if told, would blow people away? What are you thinking in your head that if uttered by mouth would sink your spiritual reputation in an instant? Don’t tell me you don’t have these thoughts because we all know better.

Sometimes it is very difficult to go through life when things aren’t going well, and daily devotions are the last thing a busy mom wants to read. For example, the kids may all be throwing tantrums, the car won’t start, the washer acts up, and all the numerous things that moms face on a day-to-day basis. When all these things weigh a mom down, what is she to do?

If salvation is for everyone and healing is for everyone, then what about THE GLORY – why would God allow you to be saved, make it available to you, and then hold back his manifest presence? The Biblical heros enumerated in the ‘faith hall of fame’ of Hebrews, Chapter 11, had this one thing in common: they all participated in the discipline of Step 4 – ‘Application’, by rendering obedience to the faith each had received. Most Christians, to some degree, also desire the experience of partnering with God in fulfilling His eternal purpose, but abort the process by failing this step, or some of the previous steps we have considered.

New beginnings are both exciting and challenging. Usually, it is our desire to do well in our undertakings. Of course, anything new takes practice to become competent and consistent. Living well as citizens of the kingdom of God is no different.
