No idea is more powerful than the realization that God loves you. Just think about it. God is all power and God loves you. You have the power of the universe on your side. When you realize this you are able to take the debris of disappointments and build castles.

Sometimes looking for the answers to those difficult questions that life can often knock us over with can be as simple as looking within and tapping into that “spiritual” side of ourselves. We all have the Spirit of Christ within us, we just have to keep the faith and believe.

Sin and righteousness are opposites. We view one as doing bad, the other as doing good. But God sees them as nouns (a state of being), vs. a verb (something we do). When we come to see them as God does, in the gospel, they make total sense.

A person who hears the Word, but refuses or neglects to act upon the written Word of God deceives himself or herself. This is what the scared Scriptures teach. It is the doer of the Word who is blessed in his or her deeds. To simply read the Bible is not sufficient. We must learn to practice the Word of God. Growing in the faith of the Lord Jesus Christ takes diligent time and effort on our part. Granted that God has sent His Holy Spirit to help us live this life, there is a part we must do, a responsibility we must bear and a role we must play in our spiritual growth and development. The Word works. If we apply ourselves and do what the Holy Bible, God’s Word, tells us to do, surely we shall receive what God has promised that we will receive. To hear the Word and not do it will not profit us.

Following on from a previous article I wrote on the subject of using creative visualisations to help develop your tarot skills, the following is an exercise using The Fool card from the Radiant Rider-Waite deck. As before, choose the card you wish to work with, prepare your reading space and try to ensure you’re not disturbed. Hold your chosen card and really look closely at the image.

Spiritual communication with Almighty God is very important. It is vital for the individual who desires a real, rich and abiding relationship with God. As the written word of God, The Holy Bible, is God speaking to man, even so, prayer is man speaking to God. Many people do not make time to pray. They are too busy with their personal goals and agendas. They are surrounded by their own dreams and ambitions. Prayer is only used when they face a challenge which they cannot handle on their own. Prayer then becomes a way of escape, rather than fellowship and communion with the Most Holy God. As the children of God, we should find a delight in making time to communicate with our Heavenly Father. We can be as close to God as we desire to be. His Word declares that if we draw near to Him, He will draw near to us. How close do you want to be to God? How much do you really desire to know Him? Then draw near, child of God. The choice is really yours.

Developing your faith may seem challenging at times. But, believe backed with purposeful action will yield great results in your life and the lives of others.

We’re in the tomb before we’re in the tomb, and that’s a fact. Human beings are the giants of the earth – we have reason, sensibility, pride, anger, vengeance and all the feelings under the sun – but with all that power and strength at our fingertips we are unable to prise open the lid and discover the secrets within. In a sense we are obliged to seal our last hope, like a pressed flower, in that cavernous space. We may search the world through for precious gems to line the lid, to let it sparkle and shine, but really nothing can alter the doom it contains. Everything made of earth has to go that way. I may stare my giant’s stare at the tomb or try to break its stone with force of mind, but in the end I have to laugh at the fact that what its chamber hides is greater than the greatest of my kind. And what does it hide? My own body.

Koinonia is knowing somebody in the most personal way possible. Do you want to know the Father in that most personal way possible? Are you hungry for that, I am very hungry for a relationship with the Father.

Have you taken a good look at yourself in the mirror lately? Are you satisfied with your image? Taking inventory frequently, honestly and with the appropriate tools is important. Are their reliable tools for assessing our soul and spirit? This is the first of several installments designed to demonstrate the importance of taking stock before it’s too late.

There is a curious reality that we find typically in humanity. There always appears to be as much negativity as positivity, as many people who move in one direction as those who move in the opposite direction. If you have 10% at one pole, you have 10% at the opposite pole.

When we live from our ego, it is very easy to feel morally superior to others. We can view other people’s lives and choices as ‘less than’ our own: less valuable, less correct, less worthy, less important, less meaningful, less right, less good. As we grow and stop living from ego all the time, we find a path or paths that fits us in our search for meaning, truth, expansion, and connection. And many of us who find a path that works, begin to feel morally superior to anyone not on our particular path.
