We put great value on our acts of kindness, our sacrifices, things we do in the name of the Lord. In the eyes of God, all these do not bring us up to what we should be as His servants, His creations. Even in our own eyes, these good deeds stand in stark contrast to our normal tendency to selfishness.

One of the most helpful ways that Paul explained our relationship to Christ and to the Church is the teaching that all believers together form the body of Christ, the Church with Him as the Head.
