In the northern hemisphere, the harvest is in, winter is upon us, Canada has already celebrated, Britain too, and this week it is the turn of people in the United States to gather to give thanks. A question: What does it mean to give thanks when everything “goes wrong”? Are we supposed to push all the horrible things in life out of our thoughts and try to find some good things to be thankful for?

Trees that produce good fruits are pruned to maximise their output. The word that comes to my mind is ‘pain’! To provide salvation for our souls, Jesus had to go through pain of the Calvary. The disciples went through the pain of torture and martyrdom just to share the Gospel. So why should you and I be exempted from pain as we grow in the Lord. The pain of discipline and abstinence is all a part of our Christian discipleship.

Coaching comes in many forms. One form is known as spirit-led coaching. Spirit-led coaching is when the Holy Spirit leads you into a coaching opportunity. These encounters are successful since you are working with Holy Spirit to accomplish His desires. He leads you to opportunities but other skills of your own are required.

There are various forms of meditation, of course. All of them seem to work, if a person is patient and if a person understand why they are doing it. If a person has a great knowledge of the true Self and the truth of being in the universe it can happen in one moment. It becomes tearing away the vale between the Holy of Holies and stepping into that sacred space where no idol or representation of the Self exists, only the true, eternal being that is one with every aspect of the universe and beyond.

People win money, get new jobs, make awards speeches, hear really good news, receive miracles and you will hear them say ‘I can’t believe it’. Why don’t we believe that good things can happen to us? Is it because we feel we don’t deserve them?

The immense size of our universe can only speak of God’s wonderful creation. Imagine the closest star next to our solar system which is called Alpha Centauri, is four light years away. That is a very far distance because light travels at 186,300 miles (299,820 km) and if we can travel constantly at that speed, it will take more than four years to reach it.
