It was never God’s will to give us ‘pat’ answers for our problems and opportunities of life. God showed through Jesus that it’s more important to show someone how to fish than to just give them the fish to eat and then say, “See you later.” The former is sustainable, the latter contemptible.

At final stretch, this is all about motive. Ours for ourselves is truly thrown away for a better motive; the strong arm of the LORD our God.

You know those messages you get from your soul? They start out as whispers that are easy to ignore but then they become more insistent. Finally, hopefully, you decide to pay attention.
