I don’t remember who the second one was to find out I had fallen off the stage. Of course, I was the first (speaking of human beings only and not the Lord)! But then, in an instant, it seemed as if I were surrounded. There was concern by the body of Christ, there was attention by friends who had some medical background. Looking back, I’m certain there were prayers being voiced.

You’ve probably heard the line about the guy who cried out to God in desperation, praying, “Lord, give me patience—and give it to me NOW!” Joseph could well have been driven to pray like that during many times in his life. He was sold into slavery by his brothers-only after Reuben, the eldest, persuaded the others not to kill him! (Actually, Reuben intended to rescue him later.) In his slavery his conditions went up and down.

This morning I woke up to this amazing video sent to me by a friend. It reminded me of the countless trips I have taken in remote places around the world. While trekking in Nepal I heard women singing a powerful chanting song that filled up the whole side of a mountain. It was their practice to sing to the baby when a woman was about to give birth.

It is so true that fear binds our souls. Jesus came to teach truth, but so many are afraid to even listen to him. So they stay in darkness and wonder why they are not finding peace and love.

You were saved when the word was preached to you either through a media (television, radio, magazine, newspaper, journal, internet, etc), through direct sermons in the church or through one-on-one evangelism via tracts, street evangelism or open air crusade and you must also preach to others. There are lots of people who are yet to come to the knowledge of the truth and just as the Apostles did, moving from one place to another, preaching the gospel, you also have the mandate to do same.

The Feast of Tabernacles is over for another year but how many people are aware of the importance and significance of this Feast or Festival. Faith is entrusted to us as a gift and our responsibility is to guard and cherish that faith and pass it on to those who come after us. As disciples of Jesus Christ we have the task of keeping the Good News of the Gospel intact, guarding and protecting the truth which has been handed down to us.

The words of God are contained in the bible otherwise called scriptures. The bible so called because the writers of its several books were God’s organs in communicating His will to men. It is his ‘words’, because he speaks to us in its sacred pages. Whatever the inspired writers here declared is indeed true and binding upon us.

To secularize is to humanize, to render unto people what has always belonged to God, superstition, magic, and all the ologies that have always laid claim to the spiritual realm of human nature. When that remarkable aspect of human reality-the spiritual-belongs entirely and exclusively to us, though we’ve never done much with it, nor wanted to have much responsibility for it.
