I realize that I am getting way ahead of myself in discussing this subject, but as I have said, I try to touch on this material from different perspectives since none of this would make sense unless it is considered it a totality of all reality and all reality systems. Of course, there is no way to know the totality of all systems, worlds or universes, but an understanding of one gives hints to the reality of others. As an example, try to imagine a system of reality where the inhabitants do not utilize any of the physical senses that you consider necessary for manipulation within the earth system.

If I love you, I am totally unconscious of you. You do not exist to me nor does what you do affect me in any way. I am neither moved by your actions, thoughts, inclinations, desires or words.

Sometimes in life, it can be challenging to let go. We often become very attached to our job, a relationship, where live, or even our car and when it’s time to let these things go we may resist. Resist for too long and we create struggle, let it go and we create flow. Most of us are somewhere in between these two extremes. The aim of this article is to encourage you to let go of what needs to be let go of. Remember when one door closes another will open.

Are you compassionate or are you not compassionate? Do you want Dharma to grow or do you not want Dharma to grow? Every single Dharma teaching you have, every Dharma center you have gone to, every Dharma teacher that you have invited to your centre was a result of dedicated people who took a commitment and went there and did the extra work and gave the donations. And then a few people walk in carelessly and like Cinderella at the ball, just show up and say, “Oh! I am here for Dharma.”

I’ve managed to arrange a place to stay for a couple more months. I’m working in the kitchen at the mission, for room and board. I still have to look for a regular paying job. I wouldn’t mind having a job, in fact, I would be pretty happy to have one. I’m just not very enthusiastic about asking people for a job, because of the way people treat each other at work.

Within the spiritual foundation of this country are several strands of spiritual energy that form aspects of governance and the basis for law. Among these strands are forces at work that create a strong motivation toward individual freedom and self-determination, and an equally strong current in the direction of unity and love. These two currents are spiritual forces at work within the collective consciousness of a nation. They are affecting the current debate about Health Care and Illegal Immigration today.

Shudder at the thought! Whenever a well-read Bible-believing Christian reads those words… “Consider it pure joy,” they know exactly where it came from and where the rest of it’s headed. It is, of course, the initial charge from that ‘right strawy epistle’ (Luther’s words, not mine) of James. Most people will find it absurd to connect joy with trials. Yet James’s letter shows us how.

What defines “you?” What are those ideals or values most important in your life? Are they things such as honesty, loyalty and/or respect for others? We know not to lie, steal or cheat, but what other values do we honor? Eight concepts define our ethical and spiritual beliefs: Compassion, Unity, Truthfulness, Fairness, Tolerance, Respect, and Service.

The sentiment in the chorus of Toto’s “Hold the Line” (1978) is so rich to real life it chills us, yet we hardly ever reflect upon it. It’s a song about faith and waiting for the promised blessing.

There are many doors in our minds and we’re continually opening and closing them. If you are emotionally hurt in a love relationship you can close the door to love and block love from coming into your life from any source. The same is to be said if you live from of standpoint of opening yourself to all positive possibilities, you will receive back the same.

Meditation. Many Christians want to try it, but many others have concerns. Here are some common questions I encounter.

We, it seems, have traveled this journey of hesitant, stumbling life for a reason. All our doubts, troubles, mistakes and denials–all of which we’ve both been scolded by but also learned from–are set there for a reason. It is now the time to put all of that behind us in an unsullied charge–an assault–on life.
