Living By Choice, Not Compulsion

Many people pray to God to bless them. But they fail to realize God has blessed them. But not seeing the blessings of God in your life does not mean you are not blessed. It means you have failed to release the blessings of God into your life.

Have you ever wondered why God doesn’t help you with some things and then helps others with other things? Why is it that God will give wealthy Christians more money, while millions suffer all over the world? When is he going to show up and actually do something for those he loves, or says that he loves?

There are universal generalities that seem to apply to life in general and human struggles in particular. Historically, mankind has sought the favor of the gods and stars for winning with wisdom. Now, in the 21st Century, people seeking wisdom find themselves in a quandary about who or what is for real in terms of authenticity, wisdom and practicality.

Unique levels of unavoidable personal adversity exist for everyone and they are discernible in comprehensive numerology and astrology charts. This finding of ours greatly clashes with modern, New Age spirituality.

We often forget why we do certain things. We need to stop and ask, ‘Why am I doing this?’ Christians should ask, ‘why am I a Christian?’ We are Christians because Christ transformed us. Therefore, we have only two options.

All of us have things related to our lives that give us our identity. Our job, family, and friends, along with our interests and hobbies, are some of these areas. They each contribute to our image of who we are.

In an earlier article I mentioned that after a long day at the office I enjoy spending time in my wife’s presence because of the sense of contentment it allows. A close relation with the Holy Spirit is similar. In other words, one of the key ways that the Holy Spirit leads us is through a sense of peace or the lack of peace concerning a decision.

Life is for you, never against you. Kabbalah’s Tree of Life portrays how that is.

Five sets of fours describe richly the observations and images of life according to a self-confessed sceptic; a confused person awed by all the wonders on earth, both good and evil. And we have a very personal account here, only a chapter’s jump from another such excursus; the book of Ecclesiastes.

The people who have already formulated theories and philosophy of God. They decided the kind of God they want in their lives. Decided and hardened their position about God and His kingdom. The message the kingdom cannot penetrate their soul. You can preach all you want but they will not accept it.

There are hundreds of religions and billions of different interpretations of spirituality. With the amazing popularity of The Secret and the Law Of Attraction, I am often asked if there are any “must believes” to living as a Spiritual Achiever. After much thought, I have come up with six key beliefs.

God works in mysterious ways and only he knows what he is doing and why it’s being done. Life’s too complicated and hard for us to understand and we should accept anything that happens to us in our life as God’s will.
