When you go through difficult financial, relational, or physical circumstances, sometimes it is impossible to solve them. This is an opportunity for you to taste God in action. When your self-efforts or even other human sources let you down, you have a choice to look up to God.

You have authority over demons, sickness, and the devil himself through the name of Jesus. You have authority over all the works of the devil. Whatever is of the devil you have authority over it. Things now obey you like the obeyed Jesus.

It is enjoyable for us to develop a relationship with someone we love. In time we cannot imagine living apart from our best friend and even the thought of trying to function without them is disconcerting. It is a wonder to me that so many Christians understand a vital relationship with another human being but they do not seek to cultivate a like relationship with the Holy Spirit.

The personality could be compared to a picture of the leading character in a story painted on a clean canvas. The problem is that the canvas is not as clean as we think. There are spots of grease from previous lives seeping through causing blotches in the painting. If there are uneven brush strokes and jerky lines used, then these combined with the blotches make a pretty messy painting.

Is such healing the stuff of mere Biblical history, performed once and only by Jesus himself? Or is healing (even dramatic healing like this) meant for us today? Many Christians are hearing about a healing technique called “Reiki”. But what is a Christian view of Reiki?

We live in a fallen world, and the pain and struggles of this life effect us all, mentally and physically. Depression is a common experience, effecting many of us at some point in our lives. But for some, the dark pain of depression is worsened by the shame and guilt that can come when a Christian gets depressed.

I woke up thinking about the phrase “I AM that I AM”. This is the answer in the Bible, that God gave to Moses, when Moses asked for His name. The Hebrew version of this phrase is “Ehyeh asher ehyeh”, which literally often translates to “I-shall-be that I-shall-be”.

If we think we’re not controlled by God, take another careful look. And if we’re against God, Proverbs tells us not to bother… no wisdom, insight or plans get the better of him (v. 30); it’s no good waking early against a Being who never sleeps or slumbers!

All the power and authority of Jesus is in his name. And since Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever you can expect the same things to be done that he did. Signs and wonders are done by the name of Jesus.

We all go through transitional seasons. Usually there is an awkward period where the old role or old way of thinking no longer fits, but the new thing has yet to come about. This can be a purely internal shift in our mode of ministry that happens while we keep the same job in the same community.

Humans often wonder if animals have souls and if they, too, are subject to karmic law. This is indeed so. Every living thing has a soul, from a pine tree to a kitten up a tree.
