Is it God’s will to heal the sick? Or does God choose to heal sometimes, while choosing not to heal on other occasions?

On the spiritual path one system is no different to another. Any system that helps one gain wisdom and understanding at the same time as being beneficial for the evolution of Humanity is seen to be equal to every other system.

When purpose is unknown abuse is inevitable. An understanding of the purpose of the Christian business will help us in our approach to handling and running our businesses. Many say they have a Christian business, without fully understanding the concept of a Christian business. The truth is, a business entity is neither Christian nor non-Christian.

God is our better nature, the part of us that yearns for peace in the world and hope for our children. God lives in our longing for a just world where every kid has parents who tuck him in at night, put away money for his education and show up at every school play.

Last week, I had a home soccer game against an in county rival. Before the game started, one of my athletes from a while back showed up to watch the game. I had a chance to talk with her about what she was doing now, how was college going, don’t you want to put on a uniform and get out here again? As we talked, she conveyed how much she missed high school, and how she wishes she could play for me again. She said that I was different from most coaches.

I am sitting on a wondrous beige couch with which I have been well acquainted for a few years now. But today I am not running a workshop from it. I am deeply sunk into the welcoming cushions (in a posture my grandmother would certainly frown upon) and I am – actually – just sitting. Not working, or talking, or planning, or learning, or thinking, or helping, or earning, or improving, or trying. My attention turns to two monkeys playing in a tree nearby and I watch their antics for a long time, I don’t know how long, till such a point where I am so relaxed that a sudden cough from someone doing their own sitting nearby does not startle me at all.

Jesus Christ has certain basic obligations from everyone who calls himself a Christian. Because we take these rules for granted, people who have not even the read the Bible are able to use hearsay to criticize us. Yet, we tend to agree with them because we do not know better.

Comes a time in most of our lives when we explore who Jesus is; we need and want to know God at this time. But for many this ‘urge’ comes and then goes. What was to be for our eternal blessing never stuck.

The purpose of belief is the broad construct that facilitates resilience, able to gently forge its way in life, through many deconstructions. Life deconstructs us. Only when we approach such deconstruction with a willing attitude to hope and to learn and to not be afraid do we invite God to help us. Faith, here, is essential for life.
