Give Up Waiting as a Normal State of Mind: Special Teaching with Eckhart

At times we tend to treat God as a heavenly pharmacist who dispenses for us what we think we need in the same way that a pharmacist dispenses prescriptions. This is a dangerous spiritual practice because it minimizes our relationship with God. Read how to avoid praying prescription prayers.

What about you and me? Do we consider the consequences of those “little” sins we do each and every day? Do we consider how it affects our mates, our children, our grandchildren for centuries to come? If we did would we decide that little sin wasn’t worth the consequences we place on those who follow after us?

Gratefulness – the energy of gratitude is very powerful and can bring about major changes in your life! Those who continually express gratitude in their lives will have a literal shower of blessings descend upon them. Why that is is that as you affirm your blessings through gratefulness, the energy of that gratitude – through the Law of Attraction – draws more blessings to you! This forceful energy helps open your heart more, strengthening the connection with your True/Higher Self.

Harmony – If there was one quality that could be viewed as the most important one to focus on and maintain in your life, it would probably be that of Harmony. It is one of the major keys – if not THE major key – on the path to raising your consciousness and reuniting with your Higher/True Self. By maintaining your harmony, you will find your life greatly improving in many ways!

Forgiveness of others and forgiveness of self – is absolutely essential if you are to progress spiritually and reunite with your True Self. By learning how to truly forgive, you will experience more peace and contentment in your life!

There is now, then death. Now dies. All events and thoughts will change and die in the very next moment. Say “Death”. The very moment the word is uttered it is gone.

As we seek to live with purpose and peace, it helps to draw metaphors from Nature to more clearly understand God’s purposes and God’s ways. The fragrance released when grass is cut is both beautiful and refreshing. As it grows undisturbed, the fragrance of grass is mild; but, when grass is cut, the fragrance it emits is aromatic and powerful. We can bring this fragrance metaphor to our own lives and ministries It is natural for us to view favorably the periods of ease. Yet, when our lives flow undisturbed and without trial, the true depth and strength of our love and faith is concealed. When, however, we are in the midst of trials – when we are cut and squeezed and pressed – the essence of who we are flows forth for the world to experience.

These laws are for those who have made the commitment to evolve. Many religious instructions take one side or the other on Evil and Good. It is through this perspective that duality is created.

Recently, I had a conversation with a colleague about why there isn’t much offered in the spiritual literature, by advanced spiritual travelers, concerning their trials, physical aches and pains of being human, and general ‘bitch session’ with friends/students about life. My own teacher never discussed any of his personal problems, doubts or fears, or anything that was not targeted at helping the student advance.
