As we move into the new energy that is coming our way, it is extremely important that we open our heart and keep it open. Our brain can make basic decisions for us, such as to when to go to the grocery store or what we want to eat for dinner. However, our brain has difficulty making important decisions, such as those in the areas of love, finance, relationships, etc. Only our heart can do that! Most individuals are living life with a closed heart. They open it when they experience happiness and close it down when they feel fear or sadness are approaching. Their decisions are made are from their brain which includes their thoughts and their EGO (Edging God Out). Not a optimal way to make decisions that serve their highest good. The EGO’s responsibility is to protect itself. So, it blames others, complains, and judges. Whatever it takes to protect itself and to be right.

Hope is a powerful idea and like all ideas it has consequences. It is one of the greatest gifts of God’s grace in Christ to us. It is a gift which is given to us to possess (so that we might live in hope) and to share (so that others may live in hope). When we instill hope in another person, we are participating in bringing glory to the grind. I Peter 1:3-4 tells us three important truths about Christian hope…

I was thinking recently about how whenever we are expanding our awareness or are evolving, we first understand something intellectually before we understand it viscerally or from a place of “knowing”. What I discovered is that the Yoga Sutra 1.17 actually explains this process this 5-Step process.

Any motivated individual can find herself in a state overwhelm. We can strongly sense having too much to do and not enough time to do it. This perception, however, is an illusion. Such an idea is not rooted in truth. God does provide enough time in which to do the work He gives us. Additionally, He allots specific times in which to do each thing, as “there is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven.” (Ecclesiastes 3:1) If we feel we have too much to do, we likely do not see in which “season” we stand.

Seeing Anna Hazare begin his hunger strike as a non-violent protest against corruption in India reminds me of that greatest of all pacifist revolutionaries, Jesus Christ. Still today, the most powerful form of protest is not the one that involves smashing windows, setting fire to property and looting, but the one which says, “Here I am. I am just a man. You can do whatever you like to me, but you cannot destroy my humanity.” Jesus Christ was (and is) the ultimate expression of everything that is good about being human, and we can do no better today than to remind our children of the role he plays in their lives by the example he set two thousand years ago

When I go running I like to run as much as possible along the wash. The wash is the place where the melted snow and rain of the mountains flow when they get to the city (in this case, the city of Redlands, CA). In the wash, the water runs along a small ravine and it has what amount to dirt trails on each side of this small ravine. That is where I run. In contrast to summers past, the water in the wash is still flowing. Running at this time of year (though I run at 6:30 am) is very hot and the heat can sometimes drain energy and drive. When I hit the wash and hear the flow of water, I feel energized. Hearing the flow of the water in the wash is, for me, the sound of refreshment.

There is always a saying that no matter where you are or what you are doing, your guiding Angels are always by your side, who are they? Who sent them to guide us and why can’t you see them? This and many more are the question that has been bothering a lot of people.

The Universe always says “YES” to our desires, like the Genie that always says, “your wish is your command.” What we focus on is what brings it into our experience. Therefore, it behooves us to ONLY focus on the desired results- not on the problem or issue at hand, but what we wish to manifest in our lives.

Just like we aren’t exempt from the challenges of this life, neither are those we love. Our spouses and children face countless problems, pressures and pitfalls every day. Some they overcome, some land them flat on their backs. When they hit what most consider to be “rock bottom”, it’s up to us to stand in the gap for them.

Have you ever asked yourself this question: Is this really God’s best for me? It may relate to a situation or relationship or a thing that makes you wonder what in the world God is doing. I have asked this question – more than once and fairly recently.

My benefactor’s question has meaning now. Does this path have a heart? If it does, this path is good; if it doesn’t, it is of no use.
