In a time not so long ago young boys when through a”rite of passage” to signify the crossing over to manhood. This is something that most young people in America will never experience and do not really understand. As a father of four daughters and two grand-children I know for a fact that kids just grow up all of a sudden.

In my own discovery of life promises found throughout the Bible, I’ve realized that many believers are not aware of the power that lies within having belief in those promises. Some have the book knowledge of what the Bible has to say about prosperity, healing, gifts, and marriages, but are unable to grasp the reality of applying these promises to their daily lives.

This article explores the spiritual nature of children, a profound and significant aspect of being human, gracefully present from birth. The most divine form of human life arrives in the smallest of packages-a newborn babe. As these tiny beings enter the world in a flurry of commotion and anticipation, a spirit is also reborn among us.

Our garage was stuffed full! We had just moved and the building that would house Del’s workshop wasn’t ready yet so we had moved all of his work equipment into the tiny garage plus those things that we hadn’t found a place for in the house. It was so full I couldn’t find anything, so Del arranged it enough to get an overview of what was there. One morning I woke up thinking, “Today is the day Del and I are going to have to go next door and tell our neighbor to stop letting his dog come into our carport and use it for a toilet.” Good idea, except we don’t have a carport nor is there a dog that lives next door.

Preparing for a physical trip or preparing for the reign of Spirit and the kingdom of heaven can occur in exactly the same way and have the same marvelous results. When I prepare for a physical trip, I do many things I have been putting off completing. As my travel date approaches, even little things I had previously left undone became part of my preparation for leaving.

From the beginning scorpions have represented transformation. This may be because they are hatched looking like miniature versions of themselves and grow through the process of ecdysis, in which they periodically shed their hard exoskeleton and grow a larger one. Or they may symbolize transformation because their scavenger nature led them to hide out in carcasses, which led people to believe that they were mysteriously born from the dead bodies of crocodiles or crabs. But the most plausible reason is that their sting can be fatal to humans, causing their unwitting victim to go through the biggest transformation a human can experience, moving from life to death.

Think about it. We are caricatures of our thoughts and our feelings. Whatever we think on, dwelling over, we’ll become. This is our prayer life, despite what even our words sound like as we ‘pray’ to God.

When the Almighty God is set to bless you, no power of the enemy can stop you. That is what divine speed does to a man- it accelerates the rate of progress in life.

The issue with regard to the above mentioned title is simply this: we cannot get physically closer to God than we already are. God is here. But we can get spiritually closer to God – the ‘felt’ perspective.
