Tranquility is a state of being that can be attained through practice and perseverance. There will be no need to shave your head and dress up in orange robe. You also won’t need to retire on the Himalayas or retreat from normal life.

The material world we see and experience are all effects. One cannot see God, only the effects of God’s presence. The Bible tells us in Matthew 6:33 that we should first seek the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all the effects will be added to us. Priority in our lives should be to seek out the ever present Cause of the effects.

What is real love? This is a question that has vexed us for several millennia. Most philosophies and religions have their take on it. Real love can only, however, contain itself in relationship. Even as we relate with ourselves there is love known toward ourselves, or a lack thereof.

According to Wikipedia (the free encyclopedia); synergy in general, maybe defined as two or more agents working together to produce a result not obtainable by any of the agents independently. Take not of the clause “to produce a result not obtainable by any of the agents independently”. How does this sink into you?

A buddha is not a god, a saint, a super human or a supernatural being. A buddha is a person amongst us. A buddha is a person who simply has eliminated suffering.

Disjointedness with God and life occurs when we either run behind or ahead. We neither keep pace with God nor go on beyond ourselves. Hence, the track of life is being missed.

At different times of year, and certainly as we approach the year’s end, we can be stopped in our tracks like deer in headlights to suddenly discover our proximity to God is at vanishing point. We wonder, “Just how did it get so bad?”

The world and the Church of Jesus Christ are two very different communities. They can never really mix. There can never be any compromise on either side. We will be drawn to different things. We will be committed to different things and have different aims and goals and values and standards, and we will end up in two different destinations. This is why there is such a clash, and this is why it is good to deal with those things right at the very beginning of our Christian life, or as early on as possible. We must never profess to belong to Jesus Christ, and flirt with sin. This is part and work and ministry of the Holy Spirit, to make absolutely sure that the work and ministry of Jesus Christ the Son of God is not destroyed by opposition, criticism, and persecution.

Pastors naturally want to minister fulltime with plenty of study time thrown in so they can develop and grow – and a generally stress-free time of it wherever possible. They also don’t want their families to suffer lack. Missionaries have similar needs for their families to be looked after, and for decent furlough arrangements. Christian musicians and writers want to record their music and write books and sell sufficient copies to afford to play or write fulltime. But, who will pay when we don’t have a ‘payable’ ministry to speak of? And even if we do, is there the funding to go around?
