Day in My Life 13/30 – No More Playing Small

Most of you know that I lost my beloved husband of 15 years in 2004 to a massive hemorrhagic stroke. We had a happy marriage, grounded in the Lord, and it took me totally by surprise that God would call him home at so relatively young an age. I share with you wisdom from my experience in the hopes that it will help you get through your own difficult time.

How does remembering your connection to the Divine and to that Divine part of you, your Spirit, lead you to happiness? Everything is energy.

The philosophy of Advaita Vedanta is one of the few spiritual philosophies that conform to science. It is neither contradicted by nor contradicts present scientific positions. Advaita Vedanta does not contradict science at all, in fact present quantum physics is a vindication of its assertion that the world is only relatively real. But it encompasses quantum physics and goes beyond it and says there is a further truth beyond its present theories, and that is an absolute entity.

There are certain techniques that we can use to transform our suffering into Divine Presence. When we see suffering of what it really is then amazing things can happen in our lives and we will be more present to it.

Karmic relationships are created by our souls to help us make good on a situation we participated in this or another life time. We might have hurt another person in some way and here we are in this life time being hurt for reasons we can’t explain. Perhaps there is a reason that started before we were born. Unfinished Karma might be blocking you from the joyful relationships you would love to have.

“What does spiritual freedom mean to you and how does your work help others to embrace this?” After asking many people this question, I’ve decided to answer it myself, in present time.

Have you ever prayed to God to have more favor in your life? I sure have and will continue to do so. I have also found that as I pray for more favor in my life, God is asking me to show more favor in other people’s life. It is really easy to focus upon what we want and miss out on what God wants. While I am not saying that it’s wrong to think and dream about things, I am saying that it is easy to get caught up in our desires and we forget about other people’s needs.

Archangel Michael is the Mighty Angel of Strength, Courage and Protection whose name means ‘ He who is like God’. One of the seven more recognized Archangels he is a warrior. Known as the Prince of the Archangels he is the one that all other Archangels defer to. Michael has millions of legions of angels at his command.

I was just thinking about our youth in today’s society. Why are some of our youth so disrespectful and unresponsive to the guidance and suggestions of their elders?

Most of our days, most of the time – disregarding times of grief – are characterised by this notional 70 percent pass mark i.e. seven days in ten we fall asleep at night either satisfied generally with life right up to feeling successful. These are our brighter days. These days we can give life a ‘pass mark.’

It is commonly acknowledged that Moses was no extraordinary man. For instance, he was no stranger to sin. We have all harboured thoughts of murder in our hearts – Moses did such a thing (Exodus 2:12). And yet, he finds himself in this burning-bush wilderness experience locked in conversation with the LORD. The test attains. Will he “go” with God?

We can only ever sit in awe of that resplendent day at Pentecost; never a Pentecost like that one before or since. This kerygmatic sermon of Peter’s follows a distinct pattern that is followed, more or less, in all the major speeches by Peter and Paul in Acts. The best evangelists today still follow the pattern.
