Sometimes we experience something and it is so profound it takes years before we totally understand it, it can take years for the mind to totally comprehend everything that has transpired so knowledge comes in bits and pieces until the pieces of the puzzle all come together. Several years ago, during my first visit to Sedona Arizona, I had a UFO, out of body experience, at Bell Rock. As I drove past the rock, I felt compelled to stop and spend some time.

Each type of response to challenging events can be positive or negative, helpful or unhelpful, according to the specific circumstances. One can feel less confused if one finds some sort of lesson or meaning in adversity. Seeing a way forward through these testing times can give hope and a sense of equilibrium.

Back then I still held on to a comforting belief that since my mom really liked gardens, she would spend a long part of eternity enjoying the most beautiful garden in the ‘kosmos’… These days, after two more decades of spiritual contemplation of ‘such things’… I have come to realize that these innocent naïve beliefs were nothing more than projecting comforting fantasies. All the reasonable ‘non-duel’ unified conscious spiritual traditions point toward a Bliss beyond measure which awaits our ‘essential eternal ‘Self’ after transcending this life. There are few things in this society that are free. Oh wait, that isn’t true. There is a great abundance of things that are free. A simple smile is one of them.
