Why Do We Get Stressed?

We are told that 40 million people perish every year as a result of malnutrition and starvation, and yet we know that there is something like 30% more food in the world than we require. God has done His part, but in our greed, we have not shared what God has provided. In times of war, our task is to make peace. When there are earthquakes, our role is to rescue the victims. When there is famine our calling is to feed the hungry and clothe the poor and house the homeless. When there is pestilence or plague, we are to use our talents and our brains, in research for cures, in order to heal the sick and ease their pain.

Psalm 50:15 says that we can call upon God in every trouble and he will deliver us; that is how many of us see our relationship with God – we pray asking for health, wealth, or peace, and we hope he will answer. The Bible is replete with versus that tell us to cast our troubles upon God, to turn our anxieties over to him and he will take the burden (1 Peter 5:7), but one is left to ask, does thinking of God only in this limited way really change your world? The answer is, not really.

Evangelism is what we are all called to do by God in the Bible. In the book of Matthew it states “Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teaching them to observe all things and Lo I am with you always even unto the end of the earth” (Matthew 28: 19 – 20).

I found myself, in the past decade, subjecting God to an intellectual scrutiny, a heretical act I would have considered unwarranted in my youth. Of course, as a man approaches mid-life he realizes there is nothing more than a 50-50 chance that his prayers will be answered directly; same odds granted by Lady Chance on the roulette wheel. Moreover his idealist spirit has been bashed by the world and the once tall pillars of belief and dreams lies in tiny pebble chunks around the floor of his soul.

2012 is the sign of change on a grand scale. This is a time of major spiritual transformation which creates physical change. We are spirit and are all part of the mass consciousness that is creating our experience. Planet Earth is an exciting place for the creative adventure of spirit. We are all spirit, our bodies are our vessels and spirit is the creator, light and life within the body.

We might know the importance of dreams as one of the mediums for God to communicate with man. But when we talk about dreams and visions or had dreams of similar nature, it is inevitable to face an important issue: How can we discern whether a dream is from God or not?

A crime that injures a soul will cause one to carry scars from it after centuries. A crime that only injures a physical body will not remain with a person, but a crime that shocks the soul is the hardest kind to eliminate.
