You Are the Sky, Not the Clouds | Eckhart Tolle Shorts

Sooner or later there comes a torrent in life. It may tarry but it surely comes. From a tough day (or series of them) to the loss of a loved one to constant disappointment of unrealised or broken dreams to physical incapacity… sooner or later the torrent will sweep through… be prepared with FAITH.

While traveling to distant places might be right for many people, it is by no means necessary to attain an enlightened consciousness. Enlightenment takes root anywhere on earth provided the seeker is open and ready for higher consciousness. All one needs is to focus his/her attention and have a willingness to do the work necessary to move forward on a path to enlightenment.

Justice or mercy? The more emotional the issue, the more divided the opinions. Should we insist on justice, knowing that justice always have consequences? Should we show mercy and always try and understand the other side of the coin? Or should public opinion be the determining factor?

Harmony is about flow. As a learner driver must demonstrate he or she can move with the flow of traffic, using initiative, so should we learn to flow with life using the skill of discretion and spiritual discernment. This is often harder than it seems and often it’s hard for seasons of life before it becomes easier once again. How easy is it to rub people up the wrong way, for instance? If we’re not careful, it’s ultra-easy…

Some people would say the church. If this was true, God would have made everyday a Sabbath. Jesus too would have spent all his time in the temple of God. God wants you to spend most of your time where you are of real use and are impacting on people’s lives. If every one of us was truly being a good steward of what God has given us, most of the problems we see today would be a thing of the past. Poverty would not be heard of in the world we are living in.

When challenges encompass us, as they will sometimes, what is your reaction? Do you run to God for help or do you just opt to do it on your own? What happens when we get a challenge is rush and get a quick solution for it? We most often than not do not remember that God wants to be there for us and take us through all that we face in this life. When all does not work, we remember him and ask if he can intervene. God feels taken advantage of when this happens.

When we give our lives to God, we ask him to come and be our Lord and Savior. What this means is that we are not the drivers of our lives and destinies anymore but Jesus Christ is. We stop living for ourselves but for God. We ask that his will may be done in our lives. Whatever he wants to do in us, he may do to the glory and honor of his Holy name.

Problems are a part of our every day life. We will always have a challenge we are facing at any given time in our lives. The Bible says, ‘Many are the afflictions of the righteous but God delivers him from them all.’ Psalms 34:19. We should therefore go on in life knowing that it is a battle field.

When God promises us greatness and overflow in our lives, we can choose to walk in that word or believe what we can see. Most of the time, God’s word and the situation we are in may contradict. The problem with most Christians is that we do not want to walk in faith but in what we see. God does not operate like that. When he gives us a word, he intends for us to walk in faith believing that it will come to pass no matter what.
